URBAN SCARS : Design Collective
The collective consists of photgraphs and exploring existing writings and messages of graffiti and its culture, representing the integral part of New York City’s identity. Graffiti exists as both art and vandalism - a powerful, controversial form born from hip-hop culture and deeply embedded in underground urban society. I view graffiti as layers of scars across the city: indelible marks of its past and living testaments to its raw, unfiltered creative energy. Together, these marks provoke ongoing cultural dialogue and reflect the city’s enduring spirit of artistic revolution.
