HUMAN, TECHNOLOGY AND BUTTERFLIES : A Design Exploration on Final Spark’s Biocomputing Research

HUMAN, TECHNOLOGY AND BUTTERFLIES explores the concept of improving Artifical Intelligence through research drawn from Final Spark’s experiments in biocomputing and wetware. Their research investigates how biological systems can function as computational processes, opening new conversations around the future of technology and artificial intelligence and inviting surrounding ethical discussions on this matter.

This project served as an early foundation for my senior thesis, driven by a desire to work with technology as a central concept while remaining grounded, relatable, and experimental. Using Final Spark’s written research and online materials, the series translates complex scientific ideas into experimental graphic systems, introductory visuals, and narrative structures. The goal is to reframe technical research in a way that is accessible and engaging for audiences beyond science and technology, encouraging curiosity about emerging computational futures.
